Internal timing study
Technical staff had the data within minutes. Getting it into a document anyone would read took most of a working day, and always required someone who owned a design licence.
During an active response, that lag is not an inconvenience. It is the difference between a decision made on Tuesday and one made on Wednesday.
Prose gives authors a small set of content blocks and no formatting controls at all. There is no font picker, no colour picker, no way to make a chart the wrong size.
Everything a designer would have decided is decided once, in the system. Authors write. The document is correct by construction.
